The journey to build Fiji’s national communication platform

Between 2018 and 2022, government and civil society in Fiji worked with CDAC Network and Ground Truth Solutions, with funding from the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, to establish communication and community engagement (CCE) platforms for disaster preparedness and response.

This case study shares experiences from establishing the multi-stakeholder CCE platform to embed advanced two-way communication capabilities in Fiji’s national disaster response system. First published in October 2020, the case study was updated in December 2022 with reflections from the close of the project.
