This report provides a summary overview of the key learning outcomes from a training workshop on communication, community engagement and accountability (CCEA) held in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea on 10–13 October 2022. The training was a means to bring together various stakeholders with an interest in CCEA issues, share experiences and develop a common understanding of how to best adapt good CCEA practices to the Papua New Guinea context.

More importantly, the workshop set the foundation for developing a more consistent, coordinated and sustained approach to strengthening CCEA knowledge, capacities and skills in local, provincial and national organisations. It was also the basis for establishing a network of CCEA supporters and practitioners to promote CCEA in emergency and development programmes and decision-making processes.
